Words are hard to come by in times when you lose someone that has done his best to prepare you for an unseen future.
My Dad had given me the tools necessary to achieve all things necessary for a successful life. Things a million dollar trust fund could not. In retrospect It wasn't till I had children of my own to fully appreciate the gift.
I watched my father with amazement and awe as he worked with his hands, accomplishing tasks that to this day still amaze me.
Digging out by hand, with help from family members, the crawl space in our house to create a fourth level of our home. Building a hand built fireplace with his wife Sharon that would impress the finest stone masons. Untold projects at his retirement home and of course mechanical work on vehicles for family and friends. Many times for only the cost of parts. Dads ability to figure out and understand any task that involved mechanical aptitude was nothing but incredible. He self reliance I am sure was instilled in him at an early age while being raised in a large family. Thanks Dad for the inspiration to believe in ones self that all things are possible if done with purpose and integrity.
Thank you for the life long love of the outdoors and memories of our fishing trips together with Phillip and camping with family.
