George, thank you for embracing me as an equal while on the 928th Fire Department. You were a great leader and teacher. I will never forget you or your knowledge. Your laughter and fun stories. Aircraft shutdown procedures and AFFF all over the runway! Nice job "Ri!" on the radio! CFD LAUGHING! Some stories ya just had to be there! I still remember! Peace to you angel. I LOVE YOU BROTHER!

Had a great time working with George at the 928th AW at O'Hare IAP Always with a smile and a mentor to the young Firefighters who he took under his command. You taught us well and your training has made many of us successful in our endeavors. RIP George.

I shall miss hearjing George retell a story in the way only he could. So much laughter over the years. We cemented our friendship years ago with driving lessons in the Super Bee!
Please accept my deepest sympathies.
My wish for George is peace and comfort for eternity.

I will never forget George. His fantastic smile, jokes and laughter around the firehouse still resonate. I worked with George for a number of years at NAS Glenview, he was such a serious individual when it came to responding to alarms, but at other times had the whole shift in laughter. It has been a honour to be George's friend, RIP and will see you again someday my friend!!
