Santo Rizzo

We are sad to announce the passing of Santo Rizzo of Woodstock, IL. He died at the age of 87 on July 14th, 2022. Santo G. Rizzo was born to the late Santo and Frances Rizzo on August 7th, 1934. Santo was blessed with a large and loving family across the United States. He married his best friend, Kathleen A. Nelson, on July 5th, 1958. Santo helped raise his three children with pure love, patience, and humility. Santo was beyond kind and softly spoken with his trademark sense of humor. 

After retirement, Santo loved watching his favorite Chicago sports teams or an array of western movies/tv shows on repeat, and in between, he played his card games or sunbathed outside. More importantly, the love and support he showed his children and cherishing the dream of becoming a grandfather (Nanu) to his two grandchildren became his new passion. He will be clearly missed by all of his loved ones. 

Santo is survived by his wife, Kathy; his sons Michael and Scott Rizzo; his daughter Karen Rizzo; his grandchildren Jordan and Jace Fuchs; and his brother Carl Rizzo. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jim Rizzo; and his parents.
