Ronald Knaack Obituary

Ronald A. Knaack, 82, of Woodstock passed away peacefully on June 10, 2021 surrounded by his family after a long illness.

Ron was born September 3, 1938 in Woodstock, Illinois to Fred and Viola (Austin) Knaack.  He was a Veteran of the US Air Force.  Ron met the love of his life, Beatrice, in 1960, and were married September 16, 1961.  Together they built a life filled with love and strong family values.  He had many hobbies which include flying model airplanes in competitions and a collection of Corvettes.  He had a passion for working on cars and was an excellent mechanic.  His love for his family was exponential and loved spending infinite time with his family.

Ron is proceeded in death by his parents Fred and Viola Knaack, a sister Lorraine Knaack, and a brother Donald (Marge) Knaack.  He is survived by his wife Beatrice; children, Craig, Rhonda, Gregory, Candace, and grandchildren Hannah, Madeline, and Rachel.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, with a Memorial Service at 7:00 pm at the Schneider, Leucht, Merwin and Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N Seminary Ave, Woodstock, IL 60098
