Ronald Haldeman Obituary

Ronald A. Haldeman, age 79, of Woodstock, passed away August 9, 2021 in Huntley.

He was born on September 14, 1941 in Woodstock, the son of George & Rita (Phannenstill) Haldeman. He married the late Jane A. Dufresne on October 16, 1965.

Ron served in the United States Army. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and sang in the choir. He was a lifetime member of the Moose Club and he served as president of the Silver Manes and was a member of the American Legion. He was a Bears and Cub’s fan. He enjoyed reading, playing soduka and delivering Meals on Wheels.

He is survived by his stepson, James (Rebecca) Phannenstill; sister, Cheryl Klingenberg; grandchildren, Mikayla and Corissa Phannenstill, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant son Ronald Haldeman Jr., his parents, and brother John “Jack” Haldeman.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 16, 2021 from 5pm until 8pm at Schneider Leucht Merwin & Cooney 1211 N. Seminary Ave Woodstock IL 60098. The visitation will continue Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 9:30am until the Funeral Mass at 10:30am at St. Mary Catholic Church 312 Lincoln Ave Woodstock IL 60098. Interment will be at McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock.
