Robert Dean Hahn

Robert Dean Hahn, known by most as Dean, passed away on September 18th, 2023 at the age of 61. Dean passed away unexpectedly at Northwestern Medicine, Chicago. He was born in Woodstock, IL on August 6th, 1962. 

Dean enjoyed spending his free time riding his motorcycle with friends and fishing on his beloved boat. For work, he followed in his father’s footsteps and was a skilled Mason. He was known for having a contagious laugh and always being the jokester in the room. He was also a devoted Bears fan, despite their losing record. 

Father to Kelsy (Andy) Buhrow and Linzie Hahn. Brother to Stacia (Eric Haas) Hahn. Grandfather to Grayson and Kinsley Buhrow. Uncle to Meghan (Ryan) Doty, Kaely (Chris) Forston, and Kristan (Dan) Schmidt. Brother-in-law to Kim Hahn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert D. and Patricia Hahn and brother, Brad Hahn. Dean will be further remembered by many other relatives and friends. 

A celebration of Dean’s life will take place on Friday, October 20th, 2023 at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home. 1211 North Seminary Ave, Woodstock, IL 60098. Visitation will begin at 4PM with a service to follow at 6PM.
