Odette T. Musiel

Odette T. Musiel, 86, of Woodstock, died Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Hearthstone Manor in Woodstock.

She was born in Chicago on September 30, 1935, to Camille and Barbara (Hajek) LaMare.  She married Michael Musiel on May 4, 1957.

She was the director of music at St. Mary Catholic Church in Woodstock for 30 years.  She loved music, singing, songwriting, and playing various instruments.  She built her own harp and dulcimers.  She was well known in the area as a folk performer.  She also enjoyed writing and the theatre.  She loved traveling with her best friend, Barbara, camping and bicycling with her husband.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Christine) Musiel, and two grandsons, David and Mark Musiel, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Musielski, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Jerome LaMare.

The visitation will be Tuesday, March 1, 2022 starting at 9:30am until the 10:30am funeral mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Ave., Woodstock.  Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Woodstock.
