Louise J (Larsen) Smith

Louise J. Smith 86, of Woodstock passed away on Saturday January 8, 2022 at Northwestern Hospital – Huntley.

She was born in Woodstock on June 28, 1935 to Lewis and Sofie (Helm) Larsen. She married Donald Smith on June 2, 1956.

She was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Woodstock. She was employed at Eaton Controls in Crystal Lake for many years retiring in 2000. Then she worked at Centegra Hospital for 5 years. She was a member of the Woodstock VFW Women’s Auxiliary, and she loved to Embroider and Crochet. She also enjoyed Reading.

She is survived by 2 nephews Randy (Felicia) Larsen and Roger (Kelly) Larsen; her great nephew Caden Larsen and great niece Katy Larsen; sister-in-law Dorothy Larsen; cousin Darlene (Loren) Hopper; her godchild Darren (Julie) Smith; and many other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother Raymond Larsen.

Her family would like to thank all the care givers from Comfort Care.

The visitation will be Thursday January 13, 2022 starting at 10 am until the funeral service at 11 am at Grace Lutheran Church 1300 Kishwaukee Valley Road, Woodstock IL. Burial will be at McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock, IL.
