October 3, 1967 ~ January 16, 2023 (age 55)

On the evening of January 16 2023 Lori Hoffman, after a day of being pampered by caring individuals and visits from loving friends, laid down in her bed, in her house, and went to sleep for the final time. Upon awakening, she found she was no longer of this world, but that she had arrived in The Kingdome Of Our Lord. Now free from the shackles of the cancer that had ruined her Earthly self, she was now happy, healthy, and free to run, play, and enjoy the bounty of Heaven. Those who knew Lori well KNOW that she wasted no time, in running to The Rainbow Bridge. There, she was reunited with all the pets she had rescued throughout the years. And they were so happy to be together again. 

Lori delighted in her job (food & nutrition) at the local hospital, first in Woodstock, then Huntley. She crafted the most amazing creations, and her co-workers looked upon her like the "real-boss", as she towed the line, and made everyone perform to their best. The hard working, caring people of the world had NO problem with this...

Lori loved, absolutely LOVED animals. All her pets were rescues, and she did whatever she could in the local community to help God’s Creatures whenever she could.

Lori leaves behind three children. Christopher, Nicholas, and Samantha Grater, as well as Grandsons Noah and Brody (re: Nicholas) and, her husband of over thirty years, John T. Hoffman.  This man misses her more than words can express. 

A celebration of Life will be held at Pinecrest Golf Club on March 26, starting at 11am. In lieu of flowers, Lori wishes that donations of finances, or TIME, be made to the local 'no-kill-shelter' or veterinarian of your choice.
