Linda Martine Obituary

Linda M. Martine, age 80, passed away March 4, 2021 in Chesnee, SC.

She was born in Conway, MA. on November 20, 1940, the daughter of Walter and Grace (Fountain) Welch. She married the late Gene Martine on October 1, 1960.

Linda was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Woodstock and in Burlington, IL for many years. She worked for Illinois Bell/AT&T for 30 years. She and her husband owned a bowling alley in Hampshire called Country Lanes for 15 years. She loved watching the Cubs and Bears. She enjoyed taking cruises and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her children, Jimmy Martine, Jeff (Stacie) Martine and Jill Rodeback, grandchildren, Breanne (Felix Santiago) Martine, Kylen (Scott Corliss) Martine, Koby Martine, Kale Martine, Travis Schutt, Chelsea (Brandon) Jones and Skye Rodeback, four great-grandchildren, brothers, Jim Welch and Woody Welch.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gene and sister Mida Rae.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 11:00am until the service at 1:00pm at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave Woodstock IL 60098. Burial will be in McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
