LeRoy E. Eddy

LeRoy E. Eddy, age 91, passed away December 26, 2020 in Harvard.

He was born on August 13, 1929 in Woodstock, the son of Glenn and Martha (Gehrke) Eddy. He married the late Patricia Ehlers on January 1, 1955 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Woodstock.

LeRoy was the Highway Commissioner for Dorr Township for over 20 years. He was also a crop and beef cattle farmer all of his life. He enjoyed buying and selling his horses and attending horse shows. He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors and he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Larry Eddy and Linda Eddy; grandchildren, Raymond (Jennifer) Eddy, Christopher (Amber) Eddy, Jorie Karafa and Jessie Karafa; great-grandchildren, Dane and Faith Eddy; brothers, James Eddy and Edward Eddy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia, and brothers Donald and LaVern Eddy.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 9:30 am at McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock.
