Lawrence Sporleder, 83, passed away December 16, 2020 with his loving family by his side.
He was born on August 14, 1937 in Round Lake Park, to Walter and Evelyn (Dahlke) Sporleder. He married Mariann Krich in 1963 in Woodstock at Grace Lutheran Church.
Lawrence was drafted into the Army and was stationed in Germany from 1961 until 1963. He built his family dream home on five acres in Woodstock. He enjoyed driving his tractors, watching wrestling and hockey with his wife. O’pa was in his glory when his grandchildren came by to visit with him.
He is survived by his wife, his children, Linda Harley, Christine (John) Bellino and Tammy (Clayton) Lane; grandchildren, Donald Peterson, Kelly Krampotich, Alyssa and Spencer Lane; great-grandchildren, Chelsey Peterson, Tyler Peterson and Ashlyn McDow; brothers, Ronnie (Connie) Sporleder, Kenneth Sporleder; sisters, Judith Rank and Patricia (Walter) Suhr, sister-in-law Linda Sporleder.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, David, Jerome “Bud” and Richard “Poncho” Sporleder; sisters, Marilyn Ladheoff, Genie Barron and Shirley Keller.
Visitation will take place Monday, December 21, 2020 from 10am until the time of the service at 12pm at Schneider Leucht Merwin Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N Seminary Ave Woodstock IL 60098. Burial will follow in McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock IL.
