Laurel Anne Burchardt

Laurel Anne Burchardt, 71, of Woodstock passed away Thursday September 16, 2021 at her home in Woodstock.

She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 30, 1949 to John T. and Doris L (McNeil) Taylor. She married Joseph Burchardt on May 16, 2010 in Woodstock.

After graduating from Marian Central Catholic HS, 1969, she became a registered Nurse at Rockford Memorial Hospital. During her 50+ years as a nurse she showed caring and compassion for all…coworkers, patients, and particularly for those who could not fight for themselves.

She loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends.  She had a very special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, taking them on many fun adventures.

Laurel is survived by her husband, Joseph; a step son, Jeffrey Burchardt; a grandchild, Brandon; brother, Andrew (Joan) Taylor and a sister, Beth (Dan) Webster.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Chuck Taylor.

The visitation will be Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 9:30 am until the 10:30 am Funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church 312 Lincoln Ave. Woodstock. Interment services will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children Fund.
