Larry G. Pierce

Larry G. Pierce, 81, of Woodstock, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born October 28, 1940 in Woodstock, the son of Tex and Dorothy (Moss) Pierce.  He married Sandi Kords on January 19, 1981 in Woodstock.

Larry loved classic cars and would never pass up a car show.  He had a model car collection, and was also a fan of motorcycles.  He liked the Goldwing and Harley Davidson.  He was a member of the Antique Motor Cycle Club and the Woodstock Moose Lodge.  Larry was an autobody technician by trade.  He enjoyed cross country trips and was a fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs.

He is survived by his wife, Sandi Pierce; stepchildren, Kelly (Rhody) O’Brien, Kathy (George) Zuidema; his children, Cathe (Karl) Ladner, Lori Woolsey; grandchildren, Tanya (Tom McKinley) Harrington, Kaleigh (Andrew Clarke) O’Brien, Melissa (Graydon) Engle, Destiny (Gio), Kali (Ernesto), Rejeigh, Vincent, and Julyan; and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Evelyn Pierce; and a brother, Ronnie Pierce.

There will be a visitation on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the Schneider Leucht Merwin Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock from 10:00 am until the 12:00 pm Funeral Service.  Interment will follow in the McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock.
