Katherine Genevieve Ziliak, 90, passed away August 22. 2021 at Valley Hi in Woodstock.

She was born January 7, 1931 in Chicago to Charles and Loretta (Igoe) Sindelar. Her best friend and husband of 65 years Joseph Ziliak preceded her on April 22, 2011.

Katherine, or “Kay” as she was fondly known, was a college graduate from Rosary College. She spent her career as a teacher and administrator for a nursing care facility; quite an accomplishment for any woman.

So proud and thankful for our parents. We are blessed they are reunited with their loved ones.

She is survived by her children, David Ziliak, Kathy Ziliak Hunt, Laurie Ziliak Graham and James Ziliak; as well as 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

They were happy, together and loved! We have wonderful memories!
