Karen L. (Chronister) Rousey

Karen L. Rousey, 78, of Woodstock, passed away Wednesday, 24th, 2018 in Woodstock.

She was born on January 4th, 1940 in Mcalister, Oklahoma to Omer Lee (Evelyn) Chronister. She married Glenn Rousey on June 17th, 1961 in Woodstock.

Karen was a Navy veteran having served from 1959 until 1961 as a medic in Norfolk, Virginia. She worked for Guardian Electric for many years. She enjoyed camping with her family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

She is survived by her husband, her daughter Denise Rousey, grandchildren; Kevin, Jason (Ashley), Katie and Joshua Flaig and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, January 30th 2018 from 10:00 am until the service at 12:00 pm at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave. Woodstock, Il 60098. Burial will be at McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock.
