Jerome O. Genge

Jerome Oliver Genge was born March 19,1944 to mother Angie and father Bronislaw (Bruno) Genge.

He married Wanieta Jean Court on April 23rd, 1966 in Lockport, IL and had since then celebrated 55 years of marriage.

Jerome was an avid golfer with his close friends Rob Berlin and Vern Willert and had a huge heart for animals. He specialized as a vet in horses, alpacas, dairy, exotic and small animal medicine at Hartland Veterinary Clinic in Woodstock for 42 years; he retired in 2015.

He was deeply loved by his family, friends, and clients; memories of him will be cherished and forever held by all who loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Wanieta Genge; sons, Jason and Eric; sisters, Loretta Levene and Elaine Ferguson; sister-in-law, Chris Sabatino; granddaughters, Brittany Macinnes and Kelly Rosner; several nieces and nephews and furry friends Max and Jacob.

He was preceded by his parents Angie and Bruno.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Schneider Leucht Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock.

The Visitation will continue on Saturday, May 15th from 11:00 am until the 12:00 pm Funeral Service at the Funeral Home.
