Jamie L. Rieke

Jamie L. Rieke, 45, of Woodstock, passed away on July 28, 2021 at her home.

She was born September 6, 1975 in Elgin Illinois, the daughter of James and Barbara (Novicki) Rieke.

Jamie was beloved by all her family, friends, and coworkers. She had been a Corrections Officer with McHenry County Sheriff Office for 17 years. Her backyard was known as a gathering place for fires and good food. She was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs, Jerry Garcia, and the Grateful Dead.

Jamie is survived by her parents, Jim and Barb (Novicki) Rieke; brothers, Darin Rieke, Bill (Christy) Rieke, Chris Rieke; a sister, Jeri Ann Rieke; a niece, Amanda Rieke; nephews, Justin and Gary Rieke; great nephew, Maverick; a great niece, Lorelai; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and 143 brothers and sisters in uniform.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Evelyn & Henry Rieke and Winnifried & Gerald Novicki.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 3, 2021 at the Schneider Leucht Merwin Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.  The Visitation will continue on Wednesday August 4, 2021 at the Funeral Home from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Windridge Memorial Park & Nature Sanctuary in Cary, followed by a luncheon.
