James P. Woolford

James P. Woolford, age 73, of Woodstock, passed away December 27, 2021 at Valley Hi Nursing Home, Hartland, Illinois. 

He was born on March 11, 1948 in Stone Park, Illinois to Harry and Betty (Steurer) Woolford. He married Marijke Beck on March 8, 1974.

Jim worked for 32 years in the Probation Department of McHenry County. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with family and friends. He will be missed and was loved by many.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Marijke, brother Daniel, sons Kurt and wife Diana (Smith) and Chad and wife Jennifer (Thompson); grandchildren Nate, Josie, Trevor and Evan and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother John, sister Debra and his parents.

There will be no Visitation, but an on-line memorial site can be viewed at slmcfh.com to see pictures of James Woolford. A get together is planned next Spring, date to be announced, when a tree will be planted in his honor by the Transplant Support Group of Northern Illinois. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the donor’s Choice.

Interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park in Elgin.
