Hector Vilchis

Hector Vilchis, age 49, passed away February 21, 2020 with his family by his side.

He was born on March 3, 1970 in Mexico City, Mexico.

Hector enjoyed listening to music, playing the guitar, bass and he had an amazing singing voice. He was very adventurous, loved to travel and discover new places and new food. He enjoyed working on computers, watching sports and made the best Paella dish. He was a wonderful father, son, brother and uncle.

He is survived by his daughter Ivanna, mother Ma. Idulia, his siblings, Irene (Guillermo) Sarabia, Gabriela Vilchis, Elsa (Richard) Boettcher, Israel Vilchis and Argelia (Mel) Gayton; nieces and nephews, Yair, Fernando, William, Katy, Richie, Faith, Romeo, Gianna, Eli, Caleb, Pennelope, Cecilia and JJ Hector and his beloved Brigita Zielinski.

Visitation will be Monday, February 24, 2020 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N Seminary Ave Woodstock IL 60098. The visitation will continue Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 10:00am until the 11:00am Funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church 312 Lincoln Ave Woodstock IL 60098. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
