Gregory Zolp

Gregory D. Zolp, 65, of Arlington Heights, passed away October 20, 2021 in McHenry, IL.

He was born on August 20, 1956 in Chicago, the son of Junius and Shirlee (Beck) Zolp.

Gregory served in the Army from 1975 until 1978 and was stationed in Fort Lewis, WA. During his time there he earned the parachutist badge, expert infantry, good conduct and expert qualification badges as well as a ranger tab. He enjoyed cooking, watching movies, spending time with his family and telling stories of his days as a Ranger.

Greg was known for his positivity, even in the toughest times, and was a lighthearted guy who always greeted people with a smile and a joke or two. He will always be remembered as a kind, caring, and generous man who always put his family before himself. He was incredibly loved will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his daughters Alaina (Christopher Codina) and Nicole; grandchildren, Nicolette, Ty, Triton and Remmington.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Richard Zolp.

Funeral services will be held at Ridgewood Memorial Park in Des Plaines, IL on Thursday November 4th at 2pm.
