Gino M. Giannini

Gino M. Giannini, age 65, of Woodstock, formerly of Wood Dale IL, passed away September 8, 2021 at his home in Woodstock.

He was born on September 9, 1955 in Chicago, the son of Louis and Laverne (Christensen) Giannini. He married his loving wife Bonnie Swanson on September 23, 1988 at St. Johns in Bensenville.

Gino was a lifetime resident of Wood Dale, IL. He moved to Woodstock in 2004 to help his father-in-law run his farm. Gino and his wife started S & G Horse Boarding on the farm. He taught himself how to run the farm with the help of his wife and two sons. He enjoyed cutting and bailing the hay and going to auctions to buy tractors and other farm equipment. Gino was a hard worker. Gino was a truck driver for 37 years with Local 705 IBT. He was also the Head Custodian for Olson Elementary School in Woodstock for many years and enjoyed being around the kids. He loved his horses and all of his pets and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, his son’s, Michael Richard Giannini and Joseph Gino Giannini; his brothers, Gregg Giannini, Jeffrey Giannini, sister-in-law, Jo Giannini, brother-in-law, Russell Willingham and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Louis Jr. and sister, Judith Willingham.   

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 10:00am until the funeral service at 1:00pm at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave Woodstock IL 60098.
