Florence M Lill

Florence M. Lill of Woodstock, IL pass away peacefully in her home at Cedarhurst Assisted Living in the company of people she loved (and Bella) and loved her in return, with the help of St. Croix Hospice.

She was born in Lake Forest, IL, grew up in Highwood, IL, and attended Lake Forest College where she met her husband, Calvin, (1925-2011) of 50 years and earned her teaching degree.

She leaves behind her first daughter Sandy (Jeff), grandson Steven, granddaughter Mary (Erik) and 3 greatgrandchildren Evan, Emma, and Quinn; and 2nd daughter Karen (Damian), granddaughter Julianna (Jesse) and great-granddaughter Josephine; and grandson Kevin (Jennifer) and 2 great-grandsons Jackson and Chase.

She loved the people and places she surrounded herself with, especially her swim and bridge groups, along with bingo and knitting at Cedarhurst. She has said she lived a wonderful and happy life. Florence did not lose a fight. In true Florence fashion, she controlled the battle with her life ending when, where, and how she chose.

Graveside service will be held later this year and notification will be made at that time.
