Florence Duda

Florence Duda, age 87, passed away on October 11, 2023 with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Chicago on August 7, 1936, the daughter of George and Maria (Milan) Paluga.

Florence was born in Chicago and her family relocated to West Palm Beach FL., where she spent her childhood. After graduating from West Palm Beach high school her family moved back to Chicago where she started her first job at Rosen Bakery where she met her loving husband, Robert Duda who was a cake decorator at the bakery. They married on July 9, 1955 in Chicago and raised six children in North Lake IL. Florence was a long time employee at Scholle and was also involved at the Senior Citizen club as well. In 2013, she moved to Woodstock to be closer to family. She enjoyed ballroom dancing and loved spending time with her grand and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Mary Ann (Andrew) Piasecki, Robert Duda, Margaret (Jeffrey) Long, Catherine Lincoln, Julieanne (Gregory) Lincoln and Edward (Dawn) Duda; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Louise Bryant, John Paluga and Joe Paluga.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; siblings, George, Anna Marie and Eleanor.
