Eugene Burmeister Obituary
Eugene Glenn Burmeister, 83, of Lakeland, Florida, formerly of Woodstock, passed away on May 9, 2022.
He was born in Woodstock on October 2, 1939 to Glenn and Margaret (Kline) Burmeister. He married his wife of 62 years, Sally Shales on October 14, 1960.
He had been employed at Brown Manufacturing in Woodstock for many years. He served as a volunteer with the Woodstock Fire Department, and was a member of the Woodstock Moose Lodge. He enjoyed participating in his son’s sporting events.
He is survived by his wife Sally; three sons Lance (Kelly) Burmeister, Lane Burmeister, and David (Peg) Burmeister; two grandchildren, Dane (Stephanie) Burmeister and Kyle (Emilie) Burmeister; a great grandchild, Matilda and a sister, Peggy Burmeister.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Schneider Leucht Merwin Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Avenue in Woodstock on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 9:00 am until the Memorial Service at 11:00 am.
