Edwin R. Fischer

Edwin R. Fischer, 87, of Woodstock passed away on November 6, 2023 at his home in Woodstock.

He was born October 15, 1936 in Crystal Lake, the son of Edwin and Mary (Hunter) Fischer. He married Charlotte Mitchell on February 4, 1956 in Woodstock.

He worked as a Union Plumber for many years. He loved fishing, hunting and working on the farm.

He is survived by two sons, Roger (Amy) Fischer and Robert Fischer; four daughters, Charlene (Alvin) Smith, Susan Fischer, Wendy (Brian) Kerwin, Heidi (Rich) Watson; eighteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and a sister, Loraine Knudson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Charlotte, a sister, Maxine, and a brother, Norman.

The visitation will be Monday, November 20, 2023 from 10:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am at the Schneider, Leucht, Merwin and Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock. Interment will be in the Belvidere Cemetery in Belvidere, Illinois.
