Edward Michael Johnson, 68, was born August 11th, 1953 in Woodstock.
Ed was a well known resident of Woodstock IL. His death took us by surprise on October 29th, 2021. We are now left with precious memories to cherish of all the wonderful times spent with him during his time on this earth.
Along with his two daughters, the two most important things in Ed’s life were his grandchildren, and fishing trips with his friends and family. He truly cherished every moment with his grandchildren and found so much peace and solitude when he was fishing, he had so much passion for it. Ed enjoyed old movies, and was a big collector of rare coins, and absolutely loved a good jam session to some Led Zeppelin (his favorite band).
He was also very well known for the plumbing business he ran for many years, helping the community with their home maintenance needs.
Ed is survived by his daughters, Monica (Brian) Powell, Angela (Kurt) Crenshaw; grandchildren, Brandon, Connor, Ella, and Brianna; a sister, Diane (Dave) Stack, and many nieces, nephews, and beloved cousins.
Ed was proceeded in death by his parents, George Johnson and Mary Lee Klabunde; siblings, Arthur Johnson and Sally Anthony; a nephew, Devon Johnson; and a niece, Kelly Takeyama; many aunts and uncles; and his precious (Angel) grand baby Nicholas.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Schneider Leucht Merwin Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock on Saturday November 6, 2021 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and is open to anyone who would like to come share memories with us, and celebrate his amazing life.
