Edmund Duda

Edmund Duda, 94, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 in Woodstock.

He was born July 2, 1926 in Chicago to Joseph and Anna (Starwitcz) Duda.  He married Gloria Hagan on August 28, 1948 in Chicago.

He was a WWII Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy, and was a life member of the VFW Post 5040.  He worked for 43 years at Union Special both in Chicago and Huntley before retiring in 1989.

He is survived by two daughters, Eileen (Roland) Wierer of Woodstock and Carol (Gerry) McPherson of Lakewood; a son, Gary Duda of Marengo; grandchildren, Brian, Chrissy, and Melissa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria; and his brothers and sisters.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at the Schneider Leucht Merwin Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Avenue in Woodstock from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Funeral Service.  Interment will follow in the McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock.
