Dwight Jensen Obituary

Dwight L. Jensen, 89, of Woodstock passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Valley Hi Nursing Home in Woodstock.

He was born April 30, 1934 in Woodstock to Nels and Lottie (Taylor) Jensen. He married Susanne Dimon on May 17, 1958.

 He was a veteran having served in the United States Army. He was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Woodstock and he served on the Property Council, sang in the choir, and was involved on the Youth Group. Dwight Worked for many years in the Tool & Die business. He loved the outdoors, working in his yard, fishing, and gardening. Mostly he loved his family and spending time with them.

He is survived by his wife of 65 loving years Susanne; two daughters, Jill (Kevin) Menge, and Jennifer (Damon) Pratt; four grandchildren, Jordan (Beth) Conerty, Paige (Mark Hills) Conerty, Nick (Kelsey) Scheel, Maiah (Anthony) Cagle; two sisters, Verna Eslick and Faith Watkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings Lloyd, Roland, Lorraine, Everett, and Eldon.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 11:00 am until the Memorial Service at 12:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church, 1300 Kishwaukee Valley Road in Woodstock.

Inurnment will be in the McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
