Clarence E. Tracy, 91, of Woodstock passed away on Tuesday August 24, 2021 at Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Crystal Lake.
He was born in Huntley on September 29, 1929 to Gilbert and Vida Ann (Johnson) Tracy. He married Eileen Brooke on May 30, 1948 in Woodstock.
Mr. Tracy was a dedicated employee of Union Special for more than 40 years. He was a member of Assembly of God Church in Belvidere. He loved fishing, but mostly he enjoyed being a family man and spent as much time as he could with the family. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
Clarence is survived by two sons, Jeff Tracy and Glenn (Lisa) Tracy; five daughters, Peg (Jim) Sprinkel, Sue (Randy) Justus, Marilyn (Don) Yarashus, Roxanne (Steve) Shelton, Elaine (Bob) Behm; daughter in law, Sheila Tracy; twenty-three grandchildren; forty-two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Eileen; a son, Gordon; an infant daughter; son in law, Jeff Wahl and many brothers and sisters.
The visitation will be held on Saturday August 28, 2021 from 9:00 am until the 11 am Funeral Service at the Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave. in Woodstock. Rev. Dale Anderson will preside. Interment will follow in the McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock.
