Clarence M. Hagenow

Clarence M. Hagenow, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 26, 2022 in Woodstock, IL at the age of 89.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Jayne (Schroeder) Hagenow, children; Debra (John) Doebert, LouAnn (Albert) Krejci, Laurene (Thomas) Brophy, Mark (Jacqueline) Hagenow; Sibling; Vernette Gaare. Grandchildren; Aaron Krejci (Kristie}, Adam (Staci) Krejci, Jennifer (Duane) Hadley, Kevin (Coral) Brophy, Andrew (Danielle) Brophy, Alex Krejci, Matthew (Erin) Brophy, Matthew Hagenow, Amanda Hagenow (Kyle), and many great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Ernst and Meta (Meyer) Hagenow, siblings; Elverna Stroud, John Hagenow, and Ernie Hagenow.

Clarence was born on November 24, 1932, in Palatine, IL to Ernst and Meta Hagenow. He attended Palatine High School and was drafted into the United States Army in 1953. He married Jayne on March 27, 1954, and together they welcomed four children. Clarence had numerous jobs throughout the years, a few being farming, truck-driving, excavating, property caretaker, and school bus driver. He obtained his private pilot license, as it was one hobby of his. He is remembered by his children as a loving, devoted and driven father who encouraged them to always do good and work hard.

Jayne and family would like to thank Debbie Brinkman, Jack Keyser, Sally Lescher, Bindy Johnston, Marjo Gunnison and Journey Care for their supportive, compassionate, and loving care they provided to my husband and our father.

A Celebration of Life and Service will be held on June 28, 2022 from 10:00 am until the 12:30 pm service at the Schneider Leucht Merwin Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock.
