Cinthia Pequeno Obituary

Cinthia Adriana Pequeno, age 41, of Lakemoor, Illinois passed away on October 8, 2023 in Barrington, Illinois surrounded by her loved ones.

Cinthia was a passionate educator, born in Mexico on May 14, 1982. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University in 2016 and her Master's degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University in 2020. She worked as a bilingual teacher at Prairiewood Elementary School in Woodstock and was deeply devoted to her students. Throughout her many years in education Cinthia touched thousands of students lives.  Despite having a cancer diagnosis, Cinthia did not let it hinder her spirit. She continued to teach as well as enjoy her passion for running and the outdoors during her treatments, while always maintaining a positive attitude and a strong faith. Her kind and selfless nature was on full display as she often showed more concern for others over herself. Cinthia had an innate ability to make people feel comfortable and open up to her and that went along well with her great sense of humor. Cinthia truly inspired many with her constant smile and beautiful soul who never lost hope.

Cinthia is survived by her husband Jason Pequeno; step-children Angelo Pequeno(Jazlyn) and Austin Pequeno (Annette); Lynn Bukowski; parents Federico and Adriana Martinez; siblings Federico, Tania, and Viviana; and grandchildren Mia and Mateo.
