Carol Dayton Griggs

Carol Dayton Griggs, Loving Sister, Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother joined our heavenly father Jesus Christ and her Mother & Father & Husband on Dec 2, 2020. Carol is survived by her siblings Donald Dayton Jr (Gretchen) & Virginia Vidaurrie (Raymond) along with her children, Linda (Randy), Dave (Holly), Scott & Jennifer. And also with her Stepchildren, Debbie, Jim & Suzy. Carol had so many grandchildren, Justin (Jennifer), Matt (Audrey), Adam, Sam, Katelynn, Emily, Candace, Ryan & Jordan (Sorina). And her Beautiful Great- Grandchildren, Xavi, Violet, Niklaus, Parker, Millie, Domanic and sweet little Nora.

Carol was born into an amazing family. Her loving parents, Donald & Margaret Dayton along with her siblings Donald Jr & Virginia in Chicago, Illinois on May 3rd 1942. She would eventually move out to Elmhurst, Illinois where she grew up and would graduate from Immaculate Conception High School in Elmhurst, Illinois in 1960.

Carol was an amazing woman who loved going to church and working in her garden or just spoiling all her children. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her family and her friends. One of her favorite quotes was “Life is a Song…SING IT!!! Carol was a long time resident of Douglas, Georgia with her late Husband Jeff Griggs where she was an active member in the community and the Grace Pointe Church where her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ was absolute. There is not enough paper in the world to describe Carol and what a beautiful and amazing woman she was and all the love in her heart and her beautiful soul. She will truly be missed by all. She will never be forgotten because her spirt lives on in all of the lives of the people that were lucky enough to be touched by her bright and beautiful soul. Funeral Services will be held at Schneider Leucht Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home on 1211 N. Seminary Ave Woodstock, Illinois between 10 am & 11 am on Monday December 7. 2020.
