Bobbie W. Anderson, age 92, passed away June 29, 2021.
She was born January 30, 1929 in Jackson, Mississippi, the daughter of John R. and Marie (Cary) Wolfe. She married Gaylord Anderson on July 29, 1951.
Bobbie graduated from “Ole Miss” where she played for the basketball team. She worked for District 200 and 47 for 35 years as a Special Education teacher.
She was a founding member and piano player of Calvary Baptist Church in Woodstock and attended every social event there. She enjoyed fishing in Canada with her husband; watching videos of her great-grandchild and loved to correct people’s grammar and spelling.
Bobbie is survived by her daughters, Cary Anderson, Loree Anderson and Deirdre Anderson; grandchildren, Cory Anderson and Jeffery (Cheyanne Secoy) Anderson; great-grandchild, Wrenlynn Secoy; nieces, J. Renee, Dixie, Kris, Robbie and Marie; and close friends, Ruth and Ruby Reinhardt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gaylord, and sister, Anna Ray (William Baldwin) Lloyd.
A Memorial Gathering will take place Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave. Woodstock, IL 60098.
