Audrey A. Meyer

Audrey A. Meyer (nee Riley), 92, of Woodstock, went home on June 14, 2022 with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Ferndale, Michigan on March 21, 1930, the daughter of William and Clara (Cardinal) Riley. She married the late George Meyer Jr. on August 1, 1953 in Woodstock.

Audrey was a long time member at St. Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed helping out with luncheons. She worked at Graf Apsco in Woodstock until they closed there doors. She also volunteered at Resurrection Retreat and Sanctuary until her retirement in 1998. She was an avid Cubs fan. She loved spending time with her family, her dog and enjoyed taking walks and playing baseball. She will be missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Anita (Frank) Stratman, Audrey (David) Klabunde, Christine (Steven) Hinderliter; grandchildren, Jason (Denise) Hinderliter, Robyn (Jeremy) Wojcik, Jaimie (Zac) Beatty, Ethan (Christina) Stratman and Katy (Patrick) O’Brien; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Lauren Hinderliter, Jarren, William, Brady Wojcik, Madison, Riley, Jordan Beatty, Emma, Allison O’Brien, Paige Stratman and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parent’s, late husband George; a son, William; eight siblings, William “Bill” Riley, Donald Riley, Gordon Riley, Jerome Riley, David Riley, Mary McCarthy, Phyllis Vince and Shirley Rose.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 12:00pm until 3:00pm at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave Woodstock IL. Visitation will continue Monday, June 20, 2022 at St. Mary Catholic Church 312 Lincoln Ave Woodstock, IL from 9:30am until the Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
