Arthur C. Kohley

Arthur C. Kohley, 85, of Woodstock, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington.

He was born on March 19, 1936 in Winfield Illinois to Carl and Hildegard (Spoden) Kohley.  He married Lynn Corey on August 11, 1962 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

Art was raised in Harvard, and graduated from Harvard High School in 1954.  Before retirement, he had been employed with Peet Frate Lines for 36 years.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, and bowling.  Among his other pastimes, he was a member of the Woodstock Square Dancing Club, an avid Green Bay Packer fan since the early 60’s, and a lifetime member of the Harvard Moose Lodge.  Fond memories remain of the family vacations and road trips.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Kohley; children, Christine Anne (Tim) Haak, Vicki Lynn (Jerry) Anderson, Robert Arthur (Holly) Kohley, Kenneth James (Paige) Kohley; grandchildren, Shane (Cassandra) Haak, Mallory (Tony) Francois, Mitchel Kohley, Dylan Kohley, Drew Kohley, Paul Vandeven, and Leyla Kohley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, an infant sister, and a nephew, James Brever Miles.

Visitation will be held at the Schneider Leucht Merwin Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock on Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  The visitation will continue at the Funeral Home on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 9:00 am until the 10:30 am Funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Avenue, Woodstock.  Interment will follow in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Harvard Illinois.
