Anthony "Tony" C. Shoemaker

Anthony “Tony” Shoemaker, 63, of Woodstock, passed away on Tuesday August 31, 2021 at his home in Woodstock.

He was born in Freeport on May 29, 1958 to Jimmie and Sally (Repp) Shoemaker. He married Debbie Freund on May 12, 1979 in Woodstock.

Tony loved to “dig in the dirt” in his yard and at work. His passion was his wife and children, spending time with them was his priority. He was a die-hard Cub’s fan. He was loved and will be missed.

Tony is survived by his wife Debbie Shoemaker; two sons, Patrick Shoemaker and Jesse (Maddie Myers) Shoemaker; a daughter, Brittany Shoemaker; his father, Jimmie Shoemaker;  a sister, Sue (Rich) Van Den Bussche; and a brother, Paul Shoemaker.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Shoemaker.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the pavilion at the Pleasant Valley Conservation Area, 13315 Pleasant Valley Road, Woodstock from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Dress will be informal the family suggest camouflage clothes be worn.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
