Andy P. Rasmussen

Andy Peter Rasmussen, 87, of Woodstock passed away on Wednesday September 7, 2022 at Northwestern Hospital McHenry.

He was born in Downers Grove, Ill. on February 13, 1935 to Niels and Jenny (Peterson) Rasmussen. He married Barbara Fosnaugh on March 16, 1968.

Mr. Rasmussen was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He worked faithfully for Peete Frate Lines for 40 years. After retirement, he worked for the Woodstock Moose Club for 18 years.

He was a lifetime member of the Woodstock Moose. He and his family enjoyed camping; and he was an avid gardener. He loved to sit in his backyard, drink a beer and enjoy his home.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; a son, Danny Rasmussen; four daughters, Shelly (Alan) Cohen, Sandy (Chuck) Goebel, Debbie (Joel) Crawford, Julie (Maxie) Cupit; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ryan and Cody; great grandchildren, Blake, Lillyana and Cooper; a brother, Bernhart Rasmussen and a sister, Betty Hart.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Kenneth, Corine, Elaine and Lillian.
