Aimee Jo Gutek, of Antigo, Wisconsin passed away on August 1, 2023 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. She was 64 years old. She was born on May 11, 1959 in Woodstock, a daughter of Ronald and Patricia (Ward) Jackson. She married John Gutek on January 30, 1995 in Woodstock.
She was a graduate of Marian Central Catholic High School. Aimee worked in the food industry for over 30 years, starting as a teenager and moving her way to a store manager that employees were proud to work with. The staff was her family, often literally and figuratively.
In her early years, Aimee spent a lot of time playing softball with a group of girls that continue being close friends 40 years later. She enjoyed her yearly white water rafting trips and watching the Chicago Cubs and Bears. Aimee loved to spend time and cook for her family, friends, and feline family members, Abby and Sneezy.
Survivors include her husband, John Gutek of Antigo; two daughters, Steffane (Ryan) Grafton of Belvidere, IL, Rebecca Severt of Mosinee; a son, Sean (Keisha) Anderson of Sharon; five grandchildren, Kayleigh, Dillon, and Austin Severt, Autumn and Forrest Anderson; three brothers, William (Anne Marie Viduya) Jackson of Glendale, AZ, Robert (Mary Johnson) Jackson of Rotonda West, FL, and Jay Jackson of Glendale, AZ; sister-in-law, Colleen Jackson of Woodstock, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Randall Jackson; infant sister, Margaret Mary Jackson; and special cat, Binx.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Schneider Leucht Merwin Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock from 10:00 am until the 12:30 pm prayer service.
All other services will be private.
