Salvador Arias
October 9, 1940 ~ October 24, 2017 (age 77) 77 Years OldSalvador Arias, 77, of Woodstock died Tuesday October 24, 2017 at Centegra-Hospital in McHenry.
He was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico on October 9, 1940 to Salvador and Juliana (Aguirre) Arias. He married Ana M. Laguna on June 3, 1967.
Mr. Arias was a member at St. Mary Catholic Church in Woodstock. Being the oldest of seventeen family members Salvador was a great role model. He lived his faith by example, always lending a hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed gardening and being with his dogs. Salvador was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and a man of his word.
He is survived by his wife of fifty wonderful years, Ana M. Arias; a son, Salvador (Christine) Arias; two daughters Alex Arias, and Laura (Jorge) Dorantes; five grandchildren, Carolina, Emily, Natalie, Sophia and Caleb; a great grandchild Parker; six brothers, four sisters, and thirty five nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; a brother; grandson; and a nephew.
The visitation will be at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Avenue Woodstock on Saturday October 28, 2017 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral mass at 11 am. Interment will be private.
