Judy and family, I just heard about Marlene this Sunday evening. I will always cherish the childhood days at our house in Streator! She is remembered in a positive fun way. Mom & Joe always enjoyed the visits with Uncle Eddie, Judy and Marlene. She was a special lady. Hold all those extraordinary thoughts of her forever in the heart. Hugs to all!

In 1986 we unfortunately lost our beloved Diana in a car accident. Marlene Lantz was amazing with our family, showing support, help and sincere condolences. without her we would not have gotten thru this horrible time. I have only voted for one Republican in my life and it was Marlene. Each time she came up for reelection I voted for her. Good Bless her whole family for sharing her with us and everyone whos lives she touched.
Sincerely,
The Nebergall, Kelley and Brooks family

I am a teacher in Crystal Lake and I was lucky enough to get to know Marlene through the years. She would come to my classes every year and give captivating talks to the students about her career and life. I always looked forward to getting to see her every year. She would always be so kind and take the time to come whenever a school requested it. She had a way of really connecting with the students. I ran into her at the County Fair and after she left her post and was delighted to see her and introduce her to my family. She even offered to come in to see my classes after she had retired. I am truly sorry for your loss, but know that she made an impact on countless lives here in the county.

Sorry for your loss. McHenry will never be able to replace such a warm, compassionate and intelligent woman as Marlene. Truly grateful for all she gave and she will be greatly missed
