Lori Sorensen Obituary

Lori S. (Judson) Sorensen 54, of Walworth, Wis., loving wife, mother, best friend and fishing partner died Sunday May 12, 2019 at her home in Walworth.

She was born in Woodstock on October 1, 1964 the daughter of Jim and Loretta (Blackburn) Judson. She married David Sorensen on September 7, 1991 in Woodstock.

Lori graduated from Woodstock Community High School She went on to college receiving her Bachelor and Master’s Degree at Northern Illinois University in Dekalb. She went on to a successful career in education in the Crystal Lake School District starting as a teacher then becoming a principal at Bernotas Middle School. She loved hunting and fishing and was a Green Bay Packer fan.

She is survived by her husband, David Sorensen; a daughter, Dana Sorensen; a son, Jacob Sorensen; her father, Jim Judson; a brother, Jimmy (Lisa) Judson; two sisters, Dawn (Tim) Mahaffy and Vicky (Dan) Heidenreich; also many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Loretta.

A Memorial Gathering will be Friday May 17, 2019 from 3:00 pm until the Memorial Service at 7:00 pm at the Woodstock Bible Church, 770 East Kimball, Woodstock.  Pastor Len Dicicco will preside. Interment will be private.

The family would also like to announce a Celebration of Life to be held at Daniel and Pam Sorensen's home on Saturday May 25, 2019.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an education fund for Dana and Jacob.
