Laurel Ann Ackerman

Laurel Ann Ackerman, 60, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Sunday March 18, 2018 in Woodstock.

She was born September 27, 1957 in Elmhurst, IL to Norman and Olga (Klimchuk) Seidensticker.  She married Bruce Ackerman on October, 19,1980.

Laurel was passionate about music.  She was a multi-talented singer and musician and was an accomplished pianist and keyboard player.  She played in several bands such as Ghost Ryder, Phidget and The Rage.  Laurel was also a devoted superfan of Spiderman.

She had a great dry sense of humor that she shared with everyone.  Laurel was a loving mother who was extremely proud of her son Charles.  She will be missed by many family and friends.

Laurel is survived by her son, Charles, sisters Carole Templin and Judy (Bill) Zimmerman; sisters-in-law Jennifer (Barry) Drap and Linda Ackerman; nephews Will Templin, Joe Zimmerman, Noah Drap, and Simon Drap; and one niece Christy Zimmerman.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Bruce.

All services will be private at a later date.
