James Baker Obituary

James (Jim) E. Baker, 55, of Woodstock, IL passed away on October 5th unexpectedly in his home.

Jim was born on August 16, 1963, to Harold E. and Crystal A. (Scott) Baker in Woodstock, IL. He attended Woodstock High School.

Shortly after Jim graduated high school he started delivering pizzas for Napoli Pizza, where he later ended up buying the business from Dino in 1985. His love for the community was inexpressible. From donations to numerous organizations, always taking care of the first responders, and making sure that all of the schools had food for every event. He touched so many lives, and was always there to feed families in need or mourning. Jim took a little pizza joint located in Woodstock, to a place where everyone would come and feel at home. His smile and generosity were larger than life.

He loved to spend time with his children, and was always involved with all their sports and academics. He enjoyed spending time with his family, but most of all spoiling his granddaughters. His love for the White Sox will always be remembered.

Jim is preceded in death by his father Harold E. Baker.

He will be sadly missed by his mother Crystal; his son Shaun (Brigitte) and their two daughters — Gabriella and Ariella; and his daughter Samantha (Tyler) Westman. Along with his brother Scott, sister Melinda (Mark), nieces Jessica and Renee, nephew Ross, Uncle Tony & Aunt Jerry Azarro.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N Seminary Ave, Woodstock.
