Jacqueline Louise Sara, 57, passed away suddenly on December 8th, 2017.

Born in Patchogue, New York, she graduated from Harborfields High School in Greenlawn, NY, from Valley Forge Christian College in Phoenixville, PA with her bachelor’s of religious education, and from Judson University with her master’s degree in organizational leadership. She worked for many years as a special education job coach, music teacher, and teacher of young children at North Port Baptist Church, Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle and Hearthstone Early Learning Center, as kids were a joy and passion in her life. She was always active in church activities and loved singing and traveling. She did both of those through her college years at Valley Forge as well as recently, as she and her fiance, Al, traveled to California and Holland and had a wedding planned for December 23, 2017. Jackie will be remembered for the way she shared her love of music and Jesus with whomever she came in contact with, her infectious smile, and her magnetic personality that followed her from childhood through adulthood, in which she drew people close through deep connection and counsel.

She is survived by her father, Richard G. Morrison, her mother, Miriam M. Morrison, her fiance, Al VanMaren, her son, Jonathan A. Sara (Emily L. Sara), her granddaughter, Francesca R. Sara, her daughter, Christina A. Spurlock (Kaiden I. Spurlock), her brother, Jeffrey R. Morrison, her niece, Jessica A. Morrison, and her faithful furry friend, Rosie.

Please join us for her funeral service held at Schneider, Luecht, Merwin, & Cooney Funeral Home at 1121 N. Seminary Avenue Woodstock, IL 60098 on Saturday December 16th, 2017 from 3pm-8pm, with her service at 7pm. There will be a private interment on Monday December 18th, 2017.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to Trinity Lutheran Church Kids Program at 504 E Diggins Street, Harvard IL 60033.
