Genevieve H. Lucich
January 18, 1930 ~ June 7, 2017 (age 87) 87 Years OldGenevieve H. Lucich 87, of Woodstock died Wednesday June 7, 2017 at her home in Woodstock.
She was born in Woodstock on January 18, 1930 to Rudolph and Hilda (Olesen) Madsen. She married Robert P. Lucich on December 1, 1951.
Genevieve was a long time and active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Woodstock. She was active in the Alter Guild. She served as secretary of the Women’s Club at the church. She worked for many years at Elco Hillcrest lamp shade factory in Woodstock and served as secretary of the workers Union there. She was loved and cherished and will be missed.
She is survived by her children Ray (Elvyra) Lucich, Tom Lucich , Joe (Wendy) Lucich and Jennifer (Dave) Zoellick; 7 grandchildren, Arek (Jori) Lucich, Melissa Lucich, Tabitha (Joe) Ehart, Russell (Julianna) Lucich, Joe (Lizzie) Lucich Jr., David Zoellick and Matisen Zoellick; 12 great grandchildren; and a sister in law Sharon Madsen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; also 7 siblings, Luella Grady, Robert Madsen, Delbert Madsen, Marilyn Madsen, Katherine Collins, Donald Madsen and Gerald Madsen; also daughter in law Karen Lucich.
The visitation will be Tuesday June 13, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave. in Woodstock. The funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday June 14, 2017 at Redeemer Lutheran Church 1320 Dean Street Woodstock. Interment will be in the McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock.
