Evelyn C. Schroeder

Evelyn C. Schroeder 92, of Woodstock passed away on Sunday December 29, 2019 at Valley Hi Nursing Home in Woodstock.

She was born March 26, 1927 in McHenry to Gilbert and Josephine (Adams) Harris. She married Charles Schroeder on November 11, 1947 in Woodstock.

She and her husband farmed in the area for many years. She enjoyed baking, Crafts, gardening, and sewing. Her family was her life, and taking care of them was her love.

She is survived by four sons Chuck (Margie), Phillip (Cora), Norman (Eileen) and Randy Schroeder; five daughters Linda (Jon) Herwy, Shirley (Roy) Williams, Pat (Dean) Knudtson, Nancy (Russ) Evertsen and Sue Schroeder; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; and a daughter in law, Dianne Schroeder.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Russell Schroeder; three brothers Ray, William and Arthur.

The visitation will be Thursday January 2, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave. Woodstock. The funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Friday January 3, 2020 at Immanuel Lutheran Church 178 S. McHenry Ave. Crystal Lake. Interment will be at McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock.
