Elizabeth "Betty" Melvin

Elizabeth Melvin, age 83, of Woodstock, passed away December 10, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.

Betty was born and raised in Chicago. She moved to Woodstock in 2002 with her husband Stanley. She enjoyed shopping on QVC, talking on the phone with family and friends, watching her favorite game shows, The Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune and Let’s Make a Deal. She loved Christmas decorating, giving gifts to family and friends and spending time with her dog Sophie.

She is survived by her husband Stanley Nedza; children Susan Melvin, Steven (Josette) Melvin, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Robert Melvin and daughter Cynthia Pore.

Visitation will be held from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N Seminary Ave, Woodstock, IL. Visitation will continue Saturday December 15, 2018 from 9:00am until the 10:00am services at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Luke’s Cemetery 5300 North Pulaski Rd. Chicago IL 60630
