Anna V. Stahlecker

Anna V. Stahlecker, 87, of Woodstock died Monday October 2, 2017 at Crossroads Care Center in Woodstock.

She was born July 30, 1930 in Elwood, Iowa the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Soenksen) Jansen. She married Richard Stahlecker on March 12, 1955.

Anna enjoyed sewing working as a seamstress for many years, she also worked in factories including Plaspros.  She loved her times with her friends playing cards and being the chauffer for anybody that needed a ride.  Mostly she enjoyed being with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Jim (Cathy) Stahlecker; also many nieces and nephews and cousins.  A special word of thanks to all the Senior Service Helpers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1974; a brother, Sylvan (Rosalie) Jansen; 4 sisters, Esther (Tom) Metras, Irene (Alvin) Maynard, Macy (Bob) Stone, and Betty (Harold) Flemming; also many other brothers in law and sisters in law.

A visitation will be held on Thursday October 5, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Schneider Leucht Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave. Woodstock.

The visitation will continue on Friday October 6, 2017 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service at the funeral home.  Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Senior Services Association 110 W.
