Amy T. Siok, 45, of Mchenry, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 5, 2017.

She was born January 24, 1972 to Henry “Ted” Siok and Jeraldine M. Siok.  Amy graduated McHenry High School East, and attended MCC and Columbia College.

Amy will be best remembered for her fun loving ways; being the prankster; innovator; a mentor to many; her outgoing personality and ever infectious laugh.

She loved to play softball and to cook.  Above all, she cherished her family and many friends.  Being a very compassionate person, she gave much of her time and talent to raising money for several organizations such as Veterans, Breast Cancer Awareness, and the Alzheimer’s Association.  Amy worked for nearly 10 years as Director of Dining Services at Fox Point, a senior lifestyle community.  She loved her job, the staff, and her residents.  She also worked at Fox Hole Pizza where she was known for her “soup of the day”.

Amy is survived by her mother, Jeri Siok, and step father, Tom Schar; a sister, Laura (Mike) McGee; aunts and uncles, Joanne and Jim Duffy, Sue Carr, Shirley and Gary Rosiak, Nila and Rich Siok; numerous cousins, and many dear friends including her best friend, Becky Covalt.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ted Siok; grandparents, Henry and Rita Siok, and John and Stella Bell; and an uncle, Rick Carr.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Schneider Leucht Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock, IL.   The Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at St. Patrick Church, 3500 W. Washington St., McHenry.  Interment services will be private.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any Veteran Association, the Alzheimer’s Association, Breast Cancer Awareness, or any charity of the donor’s choice.
